Whenever I listen to ANY of their music, I just sit and cry now. The old saying comes to mind, damn I should of done thing's different ! Yeah , yeah, but I must say, Mr. Russell's voice is imprinted in my head FOREVER. I will ALWAYS Love him and pray for him . One day with any luck at all for me, I will get to meet him before I die. Overcoming years of addiction is REALLY hard,but you have to see and realize that you have so much ahead of you and that God does have a plan for you. I finally conquered my addictions and cut all those hangers on loose, I found myself again and really do enjoy life now. We all want the same for you, I'm not sure you know or realize how many people are really pulling for you - don't go out like so many before you have. Don't hesitate either, reach out to someone. There are rooms full of musicians who are in the same battle ( we've talked about you) and we all want you to be at your best. I say "sort of" because they made it a stipulation that for him to return to the band he needed to be "drug free" and would be test...ed weekly. Really???? That was meant for both Jack and the band. How in the world can you give him an ultimatum like that when part of the "sound" of the band was created by that atmosphere. I would give Jack the chance to fulfill his duties without resorting to a "drug test". That really is an insult to him and the true fans of Great White. I saw you guys in 09 and yes, Jack was lit and using a cane on stage, but the show rocked. I saw you guys again a few months ago, not knowing that Jack wasn't singing, and it just wasn't the same,,,it kinda sucked. I know times are changing, but this is going too far. Bands that are re-uniting are switching out lead singers like changing socks...sorry guys...it just doesn't work. I think if you lose the lead singer, you should change the name of the band...no matter what. And for a lead singer to simply replace the band is idiotic as well. What about Mark, and Audi, and Lardie and Scott ? These guys have stood by Jack for many years and all they want is for him to get healthy, and now he wants to do a new line up? In my opinion this would be a terrible mistake! There is a certain magic betweeen the current band that cannot be replaced. I have seen you guys perform with and without Jack and also seen Jani Lane do lead in Lewiston Idaho a few months before his death which was also shocking. I miss you Jack, but what the hell you thinking? Great White will never be Great White without the original band members. Jack you need to kick this drug habit to the curb because it is wasting a lot of time and your pissing away your talent. It would devastate many fans if your life were to end.
